Who: Young Women (6th to 12th grade)

Where: North Point Church is hosting the event (900 N. Lewis Ave. Winthrop Harbor, IL)

Why: To encourage and equip young women to be set apart for God. Give tools to be more for God than can be imagined.

Our theme verse: "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.." Romans 12:2

What is Meant For More '08? Meant For More '08 will be a powerful weekend for 6th through 12th grade young women of your church and community. Come learn how to be set apart for God with special guest, Shannon Primicerio and sister band, Sonflowerz! Join us, Friday, April 11th and Saturday, April 12th at North Point Church in Winthrop Harbor. For more information: www.meantformore08.blogspot.com

Important Information

• For every ten (10) students attending, your group receives one (1) free mentor registration. Please use the group registration form.
  
  
• Are there scholarships available? Yes, we have a limited number of scholarships available. Please fill out the scholarship application and send to Northpoint Church or email to meantformore08@yahoo.com. We will make every effort to help you!

• Registration will be open Friday night and Saturday! There is NO deadline to when you can register!!!
  
• Here are some ideas for getting a group together.

• Refund Policy: Refunds can be given until March 28, 2008 less a $5 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given for "no shows".
  

• Lunch on Saturday is included in the price.

• The mentor would be anyone who works with teens, a youth leader, or a mom!

• Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase throughout the entire event at the cafe.

• "What if I can only come on Saturday?" Please plan on joining us, even if you may miss out on Friday night. (Please note we do not have a Saturday only fee)

• A prayer room will be open throughout the entire event, whether you would like a quiet moment to yourself or to pray with a volunteer.

• A Resource Table will also be available where you will find free materials and items for purchase!

• Are mothers welcome? Yes, of course! Please keep in mind that this is an event for teen girls and is not a parent/daughter event.

Honoring God in Relationships: Find out how to honor God your emotions, hopes, and dreams for a boyfriend. Heather Paulsen

God’s Masterpiece — You: Seeing yourself as God sees you. (Breakout #2 only)

God, Are You Really Listening To Me?: Ever feel like you are talking to a wall when you pray or just don't know how to start praying? During this workshop, you will discuss why prayer is important, explore the four parts of prayer (adoration, confession, thanksgiving, intercession) and learn how to maximize opportunities to pray with and for others. (Breakout #2 Only)

Talk So Teens Will Listen, Listen So Teens Will Talk (Adult Mentors): Do you want your influence to make a difference in a teen's life? Join Jill Savage as she shares practical strategies to talk so they will listen and listen so they will talk. (Breakout #1 only)
